On the 15th of August, 2017, Delhi Public School Noida concluded its four-day long celebration of the nation's 71st Independence Day. The celebratory event began with a medley of foot-tapping patriotic songs and engaging traditional dance performances from different states of the country. These enthusiastic performances depicted the unparalleled hue of unity in diversity, which truly is the pride of the nation.
Inter-house dance and music performances were held on the days leading up to the 15th of August, wherein Ravi House bagged the first position. The other houses, Chenab, Ganges, Jhelum, Satluj and Yamuna, were also commended for their splendid performances. Students from the Junior Wing further added to the charm of the event, by dressing up and putting up small skits, as our valiant and honourable freedom fighters.
Principal, Mrs.Kaamini Bhasin, unfurled the tricolour flag on the school grounds, on Independence Day followed by an upbeat march past consisting of a number of students and teachers. The school choir sang the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere laced with patriotic undertones.
