ASSEMBLIES

National Voter’s Day

An overlapping notion that reflected in the musings of these three great and renowned world leaders was the noble idea of national duty – towards the country’s past, its present and its future.

Now, more than ever, the greatest patriotic duty a citizen can possibly undertake, is the casting of their vote. With this in mind, and a clear motive to guide, nurture and empower an aware, courageous youth, Delhi Public School Noida, celebrated

National Voter’s Day, with great enthusiasm and pride.

Principal of DPSN, Mrs. KAMINI Bhasin began a special assembly organised to commemorate this day, by addressing the students present as the ‘future voters of the country’. In the future, she elaborated, the students would have an important role to play in the electoral process. She asked the students to lend a helping hand to the development of the country, with a sense of patriotic duty, and focussed energy.

Earth Day

‘A tree in a forest is where it should stay, leave it alone, let it grow all day.’   – a Portuguese prayer

In Delhi Public School Noida, celebrating Earth Day, on the 22nd of April, is considered no less than celebrating a full-fledged festival. The entire school is involved in environmental conservation activities, specially curated to suit the various age groups of DPSN students, and the activities are challenges to them, not burdens. The theme this year was, ‘Connecting People to Nature’. It was chosen to express the interdependence of nature and the human sphere, and to stress on its importance.
