Hostel
The Delhi Public School, Noida hostel was established in 1995 in response to a strongly expressed need for comfortable living accommodation for students seeking admission at the school from far-flung areas. The attractive and spacious auburn brick building of the fully air-conditioned hostel is spread along the north-eastern wall of the 15 acre campus of the school and has been designed for easy inflow of light and air. Divided into separate wings for girls and boys, the hostel provides excellent living accommodation for 150 boarders from classes II to XII.
The infrastructure of the hostel includes a large dining hall, which serves nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals with an interesting menu. The common room is well-equipped with recreational facilities including TV, DVD player, DTH Cable. Hostellers have access to the swimming pool, horse riding and other sports facilities provided in the school campus. With hostellers hailing from distant areas such as the Middle-East, Nepal, North-East India and other states, the cultural and social environment of the hostel provides powerful lessons in cultivating an open and secular outlook.
Events such as Fresher’s Nite, Farewell Party, celebration of National festivals, as well as the rich calendar of Inter-House, Inter-Section and Inter-School events in a wide arena of disciplines, provide ample opportunities for hostellers to hone their skills in areas of music, dance, dramatics, compering, organization, leadership and more. Both the Girls and Boys Wing are administered by competent and experienced wardens duly assisted by medical staff. The endeavour at DPSN is to provide the hostellers a secure, vibrant and nurturing environment in which they can actualize their goals for holistic education.
