Facilities at DPSN
Our sports infrastructure comprising two all seasons swimming pools, horse riding facility, synthetic basketball court, cricket pitch, 400 meter track, football field, volleyball court, lawn tennis courts and more are being actively used for physical fitness of our students. Our on-going fitness initiatives, through specialized equipment and activities, are giving us commendable results and we hope to strengthen them in the years to come.
Our curriculum encourages curiosity and experimentation. The canvas of our co-curricular activities is large, varied and ‘hands on’ with productive, creative experiences. Our student clubs such as Interact Club, MUN Club, E-Spice Club, Environment Club, Art Club, and Theatre Club facilitate student leadership in very concrete terms. Our tradition of recognizing academic and cultural excellence through Scholar Badge, Honours Badge and Gold Medals motivates our students towards skill based proficiency. We have proudly burgeoned into a multi-disciplinary institute providing an enriching range of activities to nurture talents in tune with the challenges of modern times.
Social-Science Lab
The Social Science “Heritage” Lab is an extremely hip and happening place. A beautiful and sunlit room, it has shelves filled with clay models of various landforms, miniatures, bronze historical figurines and lots of wall mounted models and maps – all of which are used extensively by both students and teachers. Projects and role plays by students are presented here, eco-symposiums are held, geography practicals of classes XI and XII are all held in the lab. The huge collection of CD’s from National Geographic and Discovery Channel along with many illustrated reference books, all help to make this lab a veritable treasure trove.
German Language Lab
The German Language Room named “Raum Goethe” at DPS Noida was inaugurated in 2009, by dignitaries from the German Embassy and Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi. The room has been fitted with an LCD, a beamer, an overhead projector and a good audio system to enhance the quality of German Language learning by listening to real life conversations and watching CDs depicting the everyday life in Germany. The aim of such a set-up is to promote interactive learning and help students to excel in the 4 skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. DPS Noida is one of the few institutions to host a lab of this kind which puts DPSN at the forefront of a new approach to teaching the German language. The lab is sponsored by Max Mueller Bhavan and DPS Noida looks forward to bringing Indian and German cultures onto a single platform.
Computer Labs
Technology advancement has affected every sphere of life especially education. This has changed our perception of what a school should provide for its students. In times of booming technology the computer labs at DPS Noida provide the appropriate platform to the students to be future technocrats. The computer labs are used not just to hone the skills of computer geeks but also provide an exposure to the novices.
With four main labs which cater to the needs of senior, middle, junior and nursery sections, the labs also provide facilities to the students to explore the world through internet. Each lab has 22 computers and a server. Nursery computer lab is the complete amalgamation of visual entertainment and learning. In the middle and sr. wing, students are taught concepts of flash, HTML, VB, MS Office, C and C++ at various levels which prepare them to face the tough challenges of the computer world later on. It is in these labs that the teachers also get the facilities to learn while they work on the computers in their separate section in the labs. Walk in any time of the day, you’ll always find a few teachers and students at work in these labs.

Science Labs
The gift of science has added greatly to the dignity and sublimity of human civilization and science is often acclaimed as an angel of creative ideas. It is to hone these creative ideas that DPSN has excellent Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories; and it is here that students learn to bring their experiments out of these labs to their daily lives.
Physics Lab
It is an ultra modern lab fully equipped with latest apparatus to provide the much needed facilities to the students from classes I – XII. The senior wing lab caters to the requirement of students from classes VI – XII with 50 students at a time. It also includes a dark room for experiments on light. Besides practicals the lab is also used for activities of the Astronomy Club.
Chemistry Lab:
The Chemistry Lab in DPS Noida is well equipped with all modern apparatus and chemicals required upto class XII. With the seating capacity of about 50 students in this well ventilated hall, the Lab also prides itself of having a balance room for volumetric analysis. Students are guided by qualified teachers and lab assistants to complete their projects and experiments.
Biology Lab:
The spacious, well ventilated Biology Lab caters to the requirement of senior students. Keeping the latest syllabus in mind the models, specimens, charts, chemicals etc. have been well planned. Besides, the lab is self-sufficient with other necessary assets such as hot case, refrigerator and water bath, etc. The well qualified teachers and lab assistants are yet another asset for the lab.
Transport
The school has a fleet of 57 Air-conditioned buses for the Senior wing and 23 for the Junior. Besides covering most of Noida sectors, they also cover some part of East and South Delhi with various pick-up points. All the buses have a teacher on duty. In case of their absence an alternate teacher or a supervisor/security guard is provided for the safety of the children. Each child wears a RFID Card which gives details of his or her individual bus route. Also, the Almanac issued to each child, lists the details of the escorts who would drop and receive the child from their respective bus stops. Each bus is equipped with a First Aid Box and communication is maintained with the Teacher on Duty throughout the journey. Each bus has the RFID device and camera installed. The transport department, monitors safety and security guidelines laid down by various government departments on the weekly basis.
SMART CLASSROOMS –
Empowering students with Smart Interactive Classes..
DPS Noida initiated the use of Smart Boards in the Classrooms from the session 2013-14. All classrooms from classes Nursery to Xll have been equipped with Smart boards to keep pace with the dynamic education system and to complement and enhance the efficacy of the teaching-learning process. The objective of this initiative was also to motivate the learners, by giving them an opportunity to enjoy the interaction technology offers and by making the subject come alive.
The experiment has been a success. It has captured the attention of the learners, encouraged their involvement in the subject and enabled the teachers to use the multimedia resources with the entire class.
A judicious mix of using this software along with traditional teaching methods are working well and the learner has directly gained in knowledge, understanding and application. This initiative ensures that the entire school gets an opportunity to benefit from this technological support system.
OUR KNOWLEDGE HUB – LIBRARIES
Needs of students and faculty members of DPS Noida are being catered by 3 different libraries.

These Libraries offer a range of Resources to its members. These resources are provided to cater to the specific academic needs of the members. The libraries have a well selected collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals, Newspapers and Audio Visual Media. New additions are constantly made in order to keep the library abreast of the latest.
SENIOR SCHOOL LIBRARY
It caters to the needs of Classes IX – XII : It has a rich collection of 15,000 documents to strengthen the undergoing courses in school. Documents related to different major disciplines are available in the Library. It has reserved some collection as reference which can be referred to, in the Library only, borrowing privileges are not given on this collection.
Infrastructure: It has a spacious reading room. A separate reference area has been provided for the students as well as the faculty members. Stack area is spread over two floors. Library provides open access to its users.
Library Membership: It is open for all the students and faculty members. Members are issued a library card for all transactions in the Library. Overdue books draw a fine.
Shelf Arrangement: Books are processed using AACR-II code for cataloguing and Dewey decimal classification. The Call Number helps in locating the books on the shelves.
Middle Library: caters to the needs of classes VI – VIII. It has a collection of around 12,000 documents. Encyclopaedia’s, journals, reference books and fiction is made available to all students.
Junior Library also known as Tiny Tots Library is catering to the students upto class V. Almost 10,000 documents are available in this library.
AUDITORIUMS
The multi-purpose air-conditioned halls are the hub centres of all important activities of the school. One is the new state-of-the-art Multi-purpose Hall with a seating capacity of 1300 while the other has a seating capacity of approximately 350 students. They occupy an enviable position as far as the infrastructure facilities are concerned. The latest lights and sound effects, a very spacious stage and convenient green rooms at both right and left wings makes it possible for the teachers and students to venture into newer forays by putting up some of the best in-house productions in Hindi and English, organize various inter school and zonal competitions, hold workshops, to name just a few. The entry to the hall is also planned as a reward to a disciplined class where they can have music and dance to suit their taste. Undoubtedly, the auditoriums cater to the multi-dimensional approach to learning.
AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM
The newly renovated audio-visual hall with the state-of-art sound and multi-media facilities offers a comfortable air-conditioned environment for various activities. All departments use it actively for exploration into the world of knowledge through films, documentaries, e-based learning programmes, project presentations and more.
The well-furnished Audio Visual Room has a capacity of approximately 100 students, it is also equipped with a projector, state-of-art sound quality, DVD player and a latest computer.
The A.V. Room is used for Audio Visual Study of different subjects like Science, Mathematics, Social Science etc.
OPEN AIR THEATRES
The most artistically designed open air theatres add aesthetic value to the elegant design and beautiful landscaping of the school. Besides its scenic beauty it provides ample space for activities such as street plays, art/sketch/painting competitions, festival celebrations, specially carol singing on Christmas Eve and competition /activities catering to smaller groups. It is also a popular place to organize staff & class photographs for various purposes.
CONFERENCE ROOM-
It wears a very professional look and provides a very comfortable ambience for any interaction between the Principal and the faculty members of the school. With the seating capacity of about 30 people, the air-conditioned hall can boast of having a projector (for professional discussion) and beautiful curios in glass cabinets (for aesthetics). Far from giving a discerning air, the room is quite inviting and teachers wait for an opportunity to be there.
